Mail-in or Drop Off Fleece Show
February 6-7, 2010

The American Red Cross is an organization that many of us do not think of in our day to day lives. But they are always silently working to supply the blood and supplies needed in disasters, time of war, and any catastrophic event that happens every day across America and to Americans.

In the winter months, especially the need is great. So what better way to begin a new show in a new year in the alpaca industry and help one of the most giving agencies in the US. It seemed to be the perfect partnership. Alpaca Breeders are so giving, we thought this would be a perfect match and a chance to give life - not just money - to a great cause. In a time when the economy may not be the greatest, we wanted to help breeders show off those fleeces from the wonderful alpacas in their pastures.

Fiber for Life was born with this thought in mind:
Help and give back to the American Red Cross while still helping alpaca breeders to enter shows with the ability and choice to get free entries.

This will be a Level II AOBA Certified Fleece Show (pending). Entries can be mailed in or brought to the fleece show at check-in on February 5th, 2010

Judge will be Wade Gease for all Fleece Entries.

Wade will also give scheduled talks on Fleece at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm Saturday, as well as 10:30 am on Sunday. Don't miss hearing what this National judge has to say about fleece characterastic and traits.

Show will be held at:
IBEW Hall
Local Union 197
2407 Beich Rd.
Bloomington, IL 61705
Check-in is February 5

Show Dates are February 6-7, 2010

Fiber for Life is an exciting new concept in contributing to a Blood Drive for The American Red Cross. All Fleeces Entries fees will be $26 which includes the AOBA Processing Fee of $6 per entry.
Breeders have the opportunity to receive a free entry after the first two paid entries by supplying - along with their entry paperwork - a copy of a receipt from having given blood** to the American Red Cross any time within 4 months before the first day of judging (February 6, 2010).

Want to Entr more fleeces and Save even more also????

For your sixth, ninth, and every third fleece after that just send a check for a 100% donation for $20 per entry - made out to the American Red Cross and we will pick up the AOBA Fee for you!
